Birchbox April 2014

Here is another Birchbox.

I have been battling with myself to continue on or not with Birchbox. It is hit or miss monthly and more misses than hits. Lets see what we have this month. This is just a run down of what's in here more than how each one performs.

This is the only thing in the Box I have tried so far. Since I just got the box in.
This is one I am so so excited to try and HAVE. theBalm cosmetics sample of How "Bout Them Apples? Cheek & Lip Cream. The full size has 6 shades and is $32. I am not one for these lip pies in a pan, but I really love the color and how it looks like my lips are just flushed. Not to mention the velvety feel. I thought it would have a fruity scent to it, but there is none.

I am a ColorClub Fangirl. However when I heard we were going to be getting a shade from ColorClub's the Gala's Gems Collection I was hoping for another shade, but I got the "Heirloom Pearls"  ($3.25). It is available in the BirchBox Shop in a set of 4 for $13. It's not a bad deal considering you will be getting 4 shades. I personally prefer to get smaller bottles of polish since I don't think I have ever used a whole bottle of andy color polish up before. ColorClub usually have very opaque polishes and I am hoping this will be no different.
AMAZING coverage! One coat will do it, but this is 2 coats in the picture.

  •  Breakfast At... is an emerald pearl that bears a striking resemblance to a certain iconic jewelry box.
  • Heirloom Pearls, Gala’s admitted favorite of the whole collection, is an opulent off-white.
  • Gold Struck is an understated, soft gold that’s subtle enough for daytime wear.
  • Aquamarine Azulino is a pearly sky blue with a hint of shimmer .

This one I have never heard of before. Nazelie Moisturizing night cream. The full size is a WHOPPING $58 for a 1oz size. This sample size is approximately $13.94. WOW!! I am shocked!. I cannot wait to see the miracle it is going to do for such a price. It is an Olive Oil based night cream. Wish me luck!

Number 4 High Performave Hair care, Clarifying Shampoo and Reconstructing Masque. So it is a clarifying shampoo and masque. I hope the masque is to dye for! The full size Clarifying shampoo is $32 for 8.5 oz.  (sample size $3.76)
Reconstructing masque is $58 for 5.1 oz. (sample $2.84)

Shampoo - Extremely thick and gooey and takes a little work to mix in your hair, but leaves your hair soft and silky which is completely the opposite of what I expected from a clarifying shampoo. It had a residue on my hair. it was good, but too expensive for me.

Masque - Very disappointed. I expected something amazing. The texture was odd, it was white and almost like elmers glue and actually kind of smelled like it too. I left it on for at least 5 minutes and my hair was not soft and silky. I was softer after the shampoo and before this masque. My hair was actually difficult to brush through. :( Not good.

Sorry there was one more item, but I ate it! I guess it was yummy cause I ate even the little crumbs. I have to say the salty crumbs were the best part too. It was a KIND BAR, Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt. My first KIND BAR ever. It was so with it. So sorry but I promise it was yummy!
A pack of 15 - $11.88 (approx. 78cents or one)
Birchbox is a monthly subscription service for $10 per month.

Ultimately the BirchBox points keeps me hooked to Birchbox! I love earning the points every month and then spending them on high dollar items I probably wouldn't buy otherwise. On to the next month!

December 2012 Birchbox All wrapped up

This was a pretty amazing Box this month! I loved all the neat and usable items in this box.

The extra this month was a refillable fragrance atomizer
$17 dollars in the BirchBox shop. This refillable fragrance atomizer has a screw on bottom in which you take a scent of your choosing and spray it into the container until it is full with your scent. Then you screw the cap pack on and wallah portable atomizer. It is a really sturdy design and is easy to rinse out and clean to refill with a different scent if desired since it has a large opening in the bottom.

Blush/ eyeshadow sample from The Balm in HOT MAMA
the full size is $22 in the BirchBox shop. I love this color, it is a beautiful warm tone and make you appear sun kissed in just the right place. This peachy shimmer color is my new favorite product.
FAVORITE PRODUCT IN THE BOX!

The color I got was in Warm Glow. Full size is $39 in the BirchBox Shop. For me it is a good base before my foundation. I need a lot more coverage.

Full size is $22 in the BirchBox shop. This was an Allure beauty award winning product. It is made with pure botanicals which is a better way than some other dry shampoos. This is a powerful dry shampoo (the sprayer is really strong) and no flakiness or residue left over.

Perfume Sample from Juliette has a Gun in Mad Madame
This scent is
The full size 100ml is a whopping $100 in the BirchBox shop WOW! That is a pretty penny I have to say.

Overall a really awesome box and I hope to get more boxed like this in the future!
If you are interested in getting a subscription from Birchbox click HERE. It is $10 per month shipping included and you get to earn BirchBox point which you can use to purchase items from the BirchBox shop like in my last Haul I posted click HERE if you are interested in checking out my haul.

2nd Ipsy Bag Oct 2012

So yes, MyGlam is now Ipsy!
The second bag is truly amazing! This is the reason why I signed up for MyGlam at the beginning. I wanted a subscription service with all makeup products or at least mostly makeup products. I am quite happy with what was in the bag this month!

The Lip Bomb on the Mirenesse $39.00
Although the color I received #4, was not available on the website. This lip stain/gloss/lipstick is SUPER pigmented and is so smooth on your lips. It is not sticky and it seems to stay on forever. I did notice that it transferred on to everything, but I still had tons of color even after it transferring. Pretty impressive. Below is the color #4 a great sheen too.

Pequi Oil Treatment from Couture Color. A full size 0.5oz bottle is $12. It is suppose to revive even the most dry and brittle hair. It can also be used to tame our wild little frizzies! It is suppose to absorb quickly and not weigh your hair down. I am currently using another product and when finished I will try this one out. (see below)

The Be a Bombshell Onyx liner marker is $14.00 on the Be a Bombshell webpage. This "jumbo" like marker has a great deep dark black color and goes on smooth and lasts all day even thru my workout. It does not budge until I remove it during my shower at night! That is long wearing!!!

This cute Mini Eyeshadow Quad from Coastal Scents in #7 was in 4 lovely colors. Starting from the top left was Wysteria, raspberry tarte, antique lilac, lemon chiffon. I love the colors that I got! I was so so happy! I saw many other bags with different colors and I am soo glad that these colors suited me PERFECTLY to my liking!

This Mascara from The Balm - What's your Type? in black was a nice addition to the bag!. The Balm has been an item in the MyGlam bags in the past and it is great to see they are still going to be a part of the ipsy bag too. I am currently using a couple other mascaras and will get some use from this shortly/
These are all the items in the new ipsy bag. I really enjoyed this bag very much and so happy to see mostly cosmetic items instead of skin care items. This is what I have always wanted this subscription service to be like.
If you are interested in checking out the new Ipsy click HERE for more information.
Thank you!!!
