July 2012 My Glam Glambag

Here are my 1st thoughts and what came in my Glambag!

Let's take a look of each item below:

From Buxom, Big & Healthy lips. 

A pretty pink neutral shade with a hint if "zing" when applied! I love when they have this minty feeling. I always pull towards products like these. It is not too sticky and is great for an every day look.

From Juice Beauty, Green Apple moisturizer with SPF 15

This has a very strong scent. It took me some time to find out what the scent was similar to, but I finally figured it out and it smells like Pledge wood cleaner. It is a thick white cream and is a little strange when applying it only because of the relation to wood cleaner in my head. It does the job and I like that it has SPF 15 in it. The good thing about Juice Beauty products id the antioxidants that they have in them which I like. I am not sure I will have this as my go to moisturizer though only due to the scent being a little bit of a turn off. 

From YES to cucumbers, facial towelettes. 

I have not opened these up just yet cause I currently have 3 different face wipes open. I have heard many good and bad things and cannot wait to form my own opinion of them. 

From Andrea's Choice, Circus nail color in Somersault

I thought it was great that we have a product from 

one of the Glam Girls. This polish is made very well. 2 coats and it is completely covered! This is a tester I did when I opened it. It even covers the polish I had on which was a pink color. I can't wait to do my whole manicure with this. 

From NuMe, Hydro Punch Hydrating Conditioner. 

 This smells nice and I am going to use this very soon.

My Glam February 2012

We got really great hints this month. Although I myself didn't guess them well the Glammmies sure did!!! Looking at the fb MyGlam page the Glammies were right on point and I think they guessed really well. They are a bunch of investigators and are a very diligent group of ladies! So below were the hints!!

A gift card for $100 off of a styling tool or hair extensions is what was given to us glammies. $160 for the dryer in photo above & $189.00 for the mini straightener. The 3 sum comes with the vintage straightener, curling wand and a mini straightener for $229.00. I do not think I will be purchasing any of the products because for me this is way to much to spend on a styling device...... My Conair straightener from Walgreens does just fine at a whopping $20 on sale. The cheapest thing for you to get is a mini I believe and it is about *$15 out of pocket.

Roll on eye shimmer 16 shades available. Roll on your eyes, body or face. The color I received was Nude. This reminds me of the Everyday minerals eyeshadow rollers. The experience I have with the roller is that it is very messy. This roller ball is not as messy though. Now when I applied this shimmer to my hand and arm the shimmer really was unbelievable! I had never seen so much shimmer come from one product! This was completely AMAZING!!! The color is very much my shade too! Once again The My Glam team chose the perfect color choice for me again! I do like the shimmer shadows, so I think I can work this into my routine here and there. The picture does not show the quality and amount of shimmer. It is like looking at Edward from Twillight in the sun, how he sparkles in the light. That is the oerfect explination for how it looks in person. My February My Glam Bag video shows the shimmer very will though.

Next on the list is the Shine control from X Out. It is an oil-free moisturizer with a mattifying complex to help instantly absorb oil. It says it is an ideal primer for your makeup. This sounds FANTASTIC!! I heard about the X Out face wash from the Holiday Vox Box, there was nothing bad said about it. On the contrary there were many good reports about it. I am always up for new face primers! I cannot wait to try it out!

My Glam, GlamBag

I just got my glam bag in the mail today! I couldn't wait to rip right into the shiny pink bubble wrap envelope. I like the detail of the mailing packaging too!

So below are the photos of each Item

From Mai Couture:

These are Blush in a rush blush papiers (sample). The color I received was SUNSET BLVD.

This is a pigmented paper with refined shimmer to give your cheeks color without a brush. Just take this sheet and rub it in to your cheeks. I am ready to try this first thing in the morning when I apply my makeup to see how well it applies and if it is easy to use. Will let you know and update this blog on what I think.

These Blush Papiers cost $17.50 for a whole pack of 50 sheets. I received 1 sample in my Glam Bag.

     Also from Mai Couture:

Blemish Control Blotting papiers (full size). It contains Salicylic Acid. They are in a very pretty Blue. I use blotting papers all the time and it is nice to have Blemish control blotting papers. This was a full size of 100 sheets.

From Tarte:

Lights, camera, lashes mascara (sample 3ml)

This says it is suppose to increase lash volume by 424%

If that is the case I intend to purchase this after using my sample size. 

On the Tarte website they call it a "push-up bra" for your lashes. 4-in-1(lengthening, curling, volumizing and conditioning). I will be trying this out in the morning when I do my regular face routine also.

so the sample is a little less than half the size. Approx $9.00

From NYX:

Soft Matte Lip Cream (full size) in the color ISTANBUL

It says that it is not a lipstick or a gloss. It is a lipstick cream that goes on silky smooth but looks matte. 

This color is great. I think the color can match just about any skin tone.

From Urban Decay:

Eyeshadow in color SIN (full size 1.5gm). This is a beautiful champaign-like shimmery shadow. I have heard a lot of talk about this specific color shadow. This is so beautiful and cannot wait to use this one as well. Cost $17.00

Eyeshadow Primer Potion (sample 3.7ml) gives you a more "vibrant CREASE-FREE shadow for 24+ hrs". I have  heard a lot about this product as well, for the lasting power it has for your shadows. Looks like I will be trying this one too in the morning! So far It looks like I will be trying everything. The full size is 10ml and costs $18.00 but is on sale for $10.00 right now cause it looks like they are trying to get rid of all the old style containers, since they have a new "tube-like" packaging now. So I guess if you want a good deal you should rush over and get it for $10.00 The sample is approx. $3.+

Just like it was advertised: eveything you get you can use together to make a look. I will be checking out MyGlam.com to see what the stylist have done with this great GlamBag! 

The approximate TOTaL for my Glam Bag was approx $55.00. So I think this was a great investment in a beauty subscription. I could NEVER go and get thee items for this price even if I begged or pleaded. Thank you Michelle for making my 1st Glam Bag so FANTASTIC and I cannot wait for the next one!
