Nail Cones what are they?

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Nail Cones

What are nail cones?

Product Description:

This is an easy to use product that protects your skin when you apply nail polish. It is a sticker that is cut out to form around the nail when the polish is applied.  It is easy to apply and remove. A perfect polish everytime.

Basically you can apply the nails cones as described above. They come in 3 different sizes, small, medium and large.
Remove the sticker and apply to your clean dry fingers.

They appear to fit fine on my fingers, but the shape of my nails seemed to be a bit to arched for these to fit properly.

Normally when I paint my nails and I get a bit of polish on the sides of my nails I usually take my thumb nail and clean up as I go. I did not do this for the purpose of testing out the nail cones to see if it would work for me. As you can see below it didn't work all that well.

While I did not have the most success, they are mostly used to prevent the polish from getting on the tips of your fingers more so than the sides of your fingers. If you have highly arched/curved, long nails like I do they do not seem to work so well. If your nails are short and you want to prevent the polish from getting on the tips of your fingers this will work for that.

You can see the video demonstration on the NailCones web site from the creator below. She has very short nails and uses these to protect the tips of her fingers.

Here is my attempt at using nail cones:

I think you can try them if you are a beginner or have a difficult time application. Not sure how it will work for other shaped fingers.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
