Dino Lingo

I was given the opportunity to try out Dino Lingo from Influenster in the Mom VoxBox to review and give my honest opinions.
This is a fun way for you kids to learn a new language. There are so many to choose from the sample languages my son was able to try were the Spanish, Italian and Chinese. Although there are over 20 languages to choose from.

Per Dino Lingo's Web site
"Dino Lingo for Kids is a language set where cartoon dinosaurs introduce the most common 200 words of a target language. This language set consists of 5 DVDs, each DVD focused on specific learning topics. Colors, numbers, family, animals, food, fruit and vegetables, vehicles, body parts, clothes, nature and verbs and actions After watching our videos several times, most small children can easily name everyday objects and understand basic phrases such as "Hello", "What is this?" in their target language. Dino Lingo is ideal for fostering a toddler's cognitive development and has won the 'Influential Parents Award' in 2010 and 2011 in education category. Dino Lingo language learning programs are most effective for children up to 7 years of age and anybody interested in learning the basics of a new language. "

He preferred the Spanish because he said that is the one he wanted to know more of. He has learned some in school, but wanted to get better. We had fun doing it together. The words were easy to figure out since the images were easy to understand. The music was cute and was fun to listen to.
I did notice that there was no translation during the video which makes it less confusing when learning words.
When it comes to the phrases you get an idea of what the phrase is meant to say, but you can't be sure.  That is the only thing that I noticed that could be confusing.

Thank you to Dino Lingo and Influenster for giving my child the chance to experience new languages.

The many uses of Ivory

I recieved the Ivory Soap from Influenster in my Mom VoxBox to try out and give my honest opinion and thoughts.
I really have not seen Ivory Bar soap in such a long time. I have use the body wash and love it so when I opened the bar soap I thought what else besides body soap could I use this for. I found out that it is great to use for
  1. laundry soap by flaking pieces off into your laundry
  2. as a spot stain remover ( ring around the collar and food stains)
  3. facial cleanser
  4. crafty things like soap carving and I even saw one mom make colored soap wash from it.
  5. Fun in the tub for kids cause it floats in the tub
What I decided to use it for was to clean my makeup brushes. I have to be honest I am not the most frequent brush cleaner around. The only reason for that is that it takes forever and I always have to wash them 2-3 times to get it clean and even then they are not completely clean so I kind of think.... why bother......

So here is my first brush I use this to apply foundation and you can see the brown tips.

I was completely AMAZED at how clean the brushes got! I mean really really amazed. I only washed it once and didn't even spend much time on it. I just rubbed, swirled and rinsed and Ta-Da!
Who knew? Don't spend all that wasted money on fancy cleansers and wasted time washing and re washing your brushes. One time and they are completely clean!!
Oh and by the way believe it or not it is 99.44% pure! (funny it floats)

Thank you so very much for opening my eyes to a whole new use and time saver for cleaning my make-up brushes!!
You can purchase Ivory Soap from the Grocery store or any drug stores.
Check out IVORY here for more information and to go to the online Facebook community where eveyday moms can share tips with other to simplify out lives.
Thank you Influenster and Ivory!

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookie review

I received my Quaker Oatmeal Soft Baked Cookie from Influenster in the Mom VoxBox. It was in Oatmeal Raisin.

This looks so yummy! It is made with Whole Grain Quaker Oats which means it is a great source if Fiber and it only contains 6 grams of total fat per serving. Even better is that they are packed individually so no worries about it drying out. Always a fresh soft cookie.

I have to admit I snuck a little bit out of the cookie as you can see below before I let my kids have it! It looked so good that I had to get a taste. I knew that once I showed it to the kids I had no chance. It was chewy and soft and I wanted more, but let them have it cause that's what moms do.
So I wanted to have all my kids try out the Cookie but as you can see my little one  did not want to share! Poor baby look at her face!

Her brother decided to give it to her and as you can see she was holding it as if it was the last thing on earth. As I was typing this blog she looked at the photos and said "Look! My Cookie!" So funny. Who knew something as healthy as this would be something she would want to keep for herself.
Once she knew she was able to eat it without anyone else around but mommy she felt better. Can you see my little nibble I took out?
She devoured the entire Cookie! I don't know where she put it all. I had to get a box so my other kids could get some too.
I love the taste and it is perfect to grab and eat in the morning when you are running late for work and I have to admit I run late on school days and this will be something perfect for my kids to grab when we are running late for school when school starts. At least I know it will be something to fill them up and hold them until lunch time.
You can buy the Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies at your local Grocery Store for about @2.69 ber box (6 cookies)
Thank you Influenster and Quaker for giving my family this tasty treat! It is something we will keep in out pantry especially when school starts!
