I wasn't sure how this would work and was sure I was going to make a mess, but the chambers inside the cap somehow dispense the right amount of detergent you need for one load of laundry. 

No matter how much you flip the bottle only the right amount will be dispensed. It is a concentrated amount so a little goes a long way. It cleans my clothes just as well as my other detergent does. (Also Purex) I wasn't sure how the small amount would do, but it works. 

The bottle is mess free and the scent is as to be expected with Purex, Fresh and light, but lasts in my laundry.

I really am loving the automatic dispensing. It is ready for me when I am ready to do my next load. No need to unscrew a cap and measure out and then pour. I sometimes get the messy top and it would sometimes run down the side of my bottle or cake up around the edge of my detergent. This is a one handed task. Just flip the top open and flip the bottle. Done and ready for the next wash!!

Chia Seeds? What and how do you use it and why?

Alright so you are thinking...Chia pet?

Well that is what I thought initially. My friend came to me a few weeks ago with a recipe for Chia seeds and almond milk. She of course went on Pinterest and when I saw it, I was HORRIFIED!!!

What is or what was that stuff?!?!?!

I said no way will I ever try that! EVER!

So after thinking about it and reading up the benefits of consuming chia seeds, I thought why not. I will just try it. I do still think it looks so weird. I do always try to eat a healthier version of whatever I like. I substitute apple sauce for oil in baking recipes and try to use egg whites instead of only whole eggs, whole grain bread instead of white . There are a bunch more. 

I looked up the nutritional information and I was SHOCKED!!!!

For only 1 serving/1 scoop (1 Tablespoon) of chia seeds you get:

5g carbs which all 5 are fiber

no sugar

3g of protein. 

80 calories

Umm ok That sold me. 

Also did you know they are actually testing out how chia seeds can help with diabetes? Yup! It slows the digestion which in turn can minimize the spike in your blood sugar. 

Another is that it full of Healthy Omega 3s too! 

There is so much fiber in the small amount of chia seeds and IT is really not that bad to swallow. If you are lacking in fiber and want an easy and natural way to get it, Chia is the way to do it. One serving is already 1/3 of your daily fiber allowance. I can tell you in my regular diet alone I was not consuming 1/3 of my fiber at all and now it is an easy and found a tasty way to have it and taste like dessert!

So here is my mix and how I eat my chia seeds.

I take 1 scoop of chia seeds to about 1/4 cup of Almond milk a splash of vanilla extract and a maple syrup flavoring for the taste. Umm it is just like pancakes, well without the pancake of course. It is a nice sweet treat. I mix it together and pop it in the fridge and stir every so often and when I am ready for something sweet it is there waiting for me.  The mix looks like the picture at the top of this post. 

My newest thing has been adding some Yacon syrup to it for the sweetening flavor. Yacon just helps minimize hunger as with the chia seeds and has a sweet, but unique flavor. It is a thick dark syrup and goes well with this sweet desert like treat.

I got this and wanted my dad to try this out. Here are his words:

Jumpstart 180

First let me tell you something about myself. I am 67 years of age and somewhat over weight. I have had a right rotator cuff repaired (surgery). I do have some issues with my left rotator cuff. I can no longer do any pushups. I used to do 1 per second for 60 seconds. I am sure my shoulder and ankle issues are from the over whelming hard work I did during my 20 years in the USAF removing and re-installing jet engines in the Phantom F4  fighter aircraft.

Jumpstart 180 is produced by Dr. Siobhan France, Dr. of Physical Therapy and Wellness coach. She is committed to helping many to reduce their pain, improve their strength and endurance to their level of function before their injury and maximize their quality of life.

Jumpstart 180 consists of a pack of 4 DVDs in a booklet style case. You will also get an easy to read 18 page 6" x 9" booklet with simple instructions and a chart to track your progress. I would suggest to make a couple of copies of the chart because it is suggested that you follow this Jumpstart program for 4 weeks. There is also a section talking about your heart rate and where it should be during these exercises. So far I had no heart rate issues. Ages displayed are 50 to 80 years of age.

That being said, I believe DVD 1 of 4 will help both of my shoulders. The exercises can be done by most senior citizens.  Should you have any issues, you do not have to follow the instructor exactly. There are many ways you can modify these simple exercises (as instructed by the instructor Dr. Siobhan France) so you can get the desired benefits from each exercise.

I briefly took a quick look at DVD 2. It has all to do with bettering of your balance. I do have some issues with my balance from time to time. I know what I briefly saw, will help me with those issues.

Each DVD is approximately 30 minutes long. Longer if you need to pause it for any reason. The instructor suggests that you pause the DVD if needed for any reason. I did not have to pause DVD 1 but everyone is different and after all Jumpstart 180 is for seniors from 50 to 80 years of age and we all have various issues and these DVDs are to help us with those senior issues. Actually anyone with mobility issues can receive benefits from Dr. Siobhan France Jumpstart 180 program.

I had the opportunity to try out this set of 12 makeup brushes from Petunia. It comes in a great travel brush roll. There was a great extra in the box that I was not expecting and it was brush guards. I love brush guards for after washing my brushes to help them maintain their shape while they dry. 

I like that it comes with an insert that tell you how each brush is recommended to be used. This is  great for any beginners. This set is a great beginners brush set. It has the different types of brushes you will need to compete a look. I personally prefer a flat top brush to apply my foundation and think that shape of a brush is  one that might be an addition that I would like to see in another set. 

I love the color combo of this set. The brushes are comfortable in the hand and the most of the brushes are good. The brown bristles brushes are soft and the black and white brushes (synthetic) are the softest. The brushes with the black bristles (natural hair) are stiffer than all the other brushes and not as dense. They are better for powder applications. The fan brush is a bit thin for makeup application, but is good for brushing off any fall out you may have after applying your eye shadow. 

There is one unique brush which is great to keep in your makeup bag. The lip brush with the cover is perfect. It keeps my brush soft and pliable and protect it form the dust that can get attracted to is from the moisture of my lipstick.

 When you get your brushes the larger brushes will have brush guards to protect them which is a need thing when and if you plan on keeping your brushed rolled up in the brush roll to protect your bristle form getting misshapen. 

Ultimately my thoughts are: these are good for a travel set since it can be portable and doesn't take up much space. The quality is good, but with some improvements in a couple of the brush texture, can be a fantastic set. It is convenient to have a variety of brushes in one spot. There are a couple brushes in this set which I really enjoy and have been using on a daily basis (eyebrow brush, smudge brush, eyeshadow brush and the concealer brush) I do however use some of these brushes for different uses than the suggested use.

The 5-in-1 Curling iron is pretty neat to have since you can have all your curling need in one place. They are ceramic barrels. It has a very nice heat resistant travel bag as well. 

There are 5 wands that click into one base. 

• 3 barrels with clips, a small, medium and large for loose to beach curls. These have the clips to hold your hair while curling for the traditional way of curling your hair
• 2 clip-less wands, these are for tighter curls

The clips hold on to your hair for dear life. Your hair will not slide out of these clips. 

They slide into the base and then you can turn the lock to ensure the selected barrel is in place. You can be sure the barrel will not fall off or slide off. Before changing or removing any of the wands or barrels be sure the wand is off and completely cooled. It can take a little work to remove the wands after unlocking the lock. Just give it a wiggle at the same time you are pulling the wand off.

There is an automatic shut off which is an excellent feature. You won't have to worry if you have left it on and can relax cause of the automatic shut off feature. 

The one main thing I wish was different was the ability to change the heat setting. It heats up to 410 degrees and only takes about 2 minutes to get up to max heat. It does however have a very long cord which swivels at the end, so no tangled cords. It leaves a long lasting curl with a great shine.

Ok I have to admit ... I LOVE THESE BAGS!

It is in a set of 4, 2 large and 2 small. One black bag to maintain your darks or colors in and 3 white for your whites and lights. Once you zip them closed you can slide the zipper under the band to protect your washer and dryer from getting scratched and dinged from the zipper hitting the inside of your appliances. 

The Black bag is perfect to separate and keep your dark undergarments and even keep your socks together. I literaly have a pile of sock without the matching pair. A couple of weeks ago I had an issue with my washing machine not filling with water and shutting off. We looked it up and opened up the washer to find some interesting things in there. Besides the usual paper, there was pens and mulch and more. Then we did the clean cycle that you do without any clothes and guess what showed up in my empty washing machine?........ YUP SOCKS! can u believe that. Where were the socks? No Idea, I guess stuck in the washer somewhere. No more having to deal with that! I am keeping my socks in these bags! 

I love the large ones to keep my bras inside and to keep them from twisting around other garments and getting stretched or malformed. I have ruined many bras in the washer from the straps getting all twisted up while washing.
