Birchbox Oct 2013

The Dr. Brandt microdernabrasion skin exfoliant was Ahhhmazing. A little bit goes a long way. If you are like me and want to feel the the product scrubbing your skin then you will love it.
I have to admit the scent reminded me on lemon scented pledge, but I really enjoyed the feeling. It feels like thousands of mico beads or super fine sand being scrubbed all over your face. If you have very sensitive skin then just be careful not to scrub too hard. Personally I really appreciate that I can feel it exfoliating my face. It did an excellent job and my face felt so incredibly soft after using it.

The pop aqua laquer in "Flowering Fuchsia" Initially I was unsure if I would like it since my initial swatch on my hand was unappealing. It has an odd shaped wand. It is a plastic applicator and doesn't go on smoothly. The idea of having a wand in a squeeze tube is excellent, but just with the applicator was different. The texture was surprisingly not sticky since it appeared that it would be very sticky. I was happy with the consistence and the color is just a sheer color. The price is $14. This item alone covers the cost of the box.

Chap Stick hydration lock. I have yet to use it, but I love chapstick in general so I am sure will be happy with it. Cost approx $2.99 (this was the extra in the box this month)

Supergoop! City Sunscreen. The product is good, and it does it's job. A full size is $42. I don't think I will purchase a full size since I think there are many other brands that do the same thing for much less. While the full (purse) size has a nifty package and will not explode in your bag, it is not worth $42 when I can get a travel size for nearly nothing at the drug store.

Lastly is a sample of Atelier Cologne "Orange SanguineColone Absolue. The scent is light, fresh, citrus-like and summery. It is a pleasant scent, but everyone has their own likes and this one is nice, but not a preferred scent. I appreciate trying new scents. It also came with a postcard to use in the future.

Overall I the cost of Birchbox is $10 per month. The approx value is over $20 and if you are interested in signing up I wouls appreciate signing up with my link HERE
Thank you for checking out my blog, until the next post.

TruMoo Chocolate Milk

I was fortunate enough to let my kids try out the TruMoo chocolate milk. I sadly couldn't find the vanilla flavored orange Halloween colored milk for them to try. I keep looking, but nothing so far.
My kids (3) love TruMoo. They actually pour too much for themselves just so they can feel like they got more than the other. They have tries every chocolate milk and this is by far their favorite brand.

I especially enjoy that there is less sugar which they don't know about.

My kids were sad when they had to share their TruMoo with friends, but hey it's worth it. Gave out a couple coupons too.

From now through October 31, any time you purchase a half gallon or larger of specially marked Halloween Edition TruMoo®, you’ll find a code on your cap sticker — enter it over on the TruMoo® TruMoo® Facebook page or TruMoo.com for a chance to win a FREE Goosebumps Haunted Hollywood Vacation:

KASHI HUMMUS CRISPS

KASHI HUMMUS CRISPS

I was sent the Kashi Hummus Crisps from BzzAgent.

Kashi Hummus Crisps have
7 whole grains
is a Non-GMO product
One serving is 27 crisps and contain 120 calories and 4g of fiber

The texture reminds me of rice cake chips and the flavor was not as "hummus" like as I expected. In fact there was no "hummus" taste to me. The flavor I was able to try was the Sea Salt & Olive Oil. I personally thought it was a bit bland for my enjoyment, but my daughter loved them. I tried to purchase the other flavors that are available, but was not able to find any in my area. (Sundried Tomato Basil & Feta or Caramelized Onion)
If you are trying to eat a healthier snack this may be worth trying. Adding a light dip makes them better for snacking. The crispy crunch definitely helps me trick my mind to thinking I am eating chips. Chips happen to be my favorite snack of all snacks. I am trying to avoid eating chips and this can be an alternative for me. I hope I can find the additional flavors.

For more information about the Kashi Hummus Crisps check out their Facebook page.

This was sent to me from BzzAgent for review #gotitfree. The review is based on my opinion and experience of the above product.

Back to Crossfit Fortress

I know it has been such a long time since I have blogged about my crossfit experience so here we go. Since my last post many moons ago I have taken a couple breaks from the Box. Always missing and regretting and feeling guilty when I don't go. I just can't do it as I wish. Sometime the family has to rule.
The Box that I love is Crossfit Fortress in Miami. We have changed locations but it was just a few shops down. This is a massive location! Our main coach has nicknamed his baby "MonsterBox".  It is beautiful and has a great layout. I my favorite is our individual work stations.

On to my recent return. I took a month and a half off due to everyone in my house getting terribly sick including myself. My 1st day back was this past Monday. Today is Wednesday and I am completely crippled. Coughing hurts my abs, my shoulders and arms are painful in a good way. My thighs on the other had are so painful! I nearly dropped my daughter this morning while carrying her down the stairs. I had to put her down on the 3rd step. Getting in and out of my car was a joke!
Anyway So here was our WOD for Monday and Tuesday

I have to say I did 3 rounds and thought I was going pt tip over at least 3 times. When you take any time off, it is like starting all over again.
There were advanced classes going on and I love to watch them. They are like human machines.

Will show pics of the new Box on another post. Yes I said another post, so that means more to come.  Silvio, thanks for your positivity!
