Ergonomic Pen and a giveaway

The UGLee Pen is a very comfortable and ergonomic pen to use.
The ink is thick, bold and very smooth. I prefer a thick ink and this is my favorite type of ink to write with. Although I cannot use it for my Legal Documents at work due to being blue ink, I can definitely use it to do my countless chart audits and make my notes. Since no one owns this pen at work I will know when it walks away from my desk.

The grip is made of a material that is so comfortable to hold. It is not like any of the other pens with "comfort grips" that I have tried. It almost reminds me of those old fishing lures my brother used as a kid. Very soft, squishy and you never want to let it go cause of the texture of this amazingly comfortable to hold pen grip.

The multiple grooves is great for anyone. If you hold you pen very close to the pen tip or hold it high up towards the middle of the pen. It makes no difference cause your fingers will not slide down and the grip is the same either way. Great job to Dr. Lee the inventor of the UGLee Pen.

It is also very light compared to my usual pens I use daily. I definitely need the black ink to go with this pen so I can use only this pen at work. I have multiple attempts at theft of this pen from work, but when I say "IT"S BLUE!" I get it back LOL.

How cute that I got the cute pink shell for the pen too.
They come in the standard ink colors of blue, black and red which you can purchase re-fills for too.
The shells come in multiple colors from red, green, white, blue, pink, yellow and grey.
If you do a ton of writing like I do on a day to day basis you will be happy to own one as well.

The Honest Kitchen Review

The Honest Kitchen

This is a dehydrated whole food for dogs.
I was really excited to give this to my dog Digger.
This is fantastic! It is all real fruits, veggies, grains, herbs and chicken, beef, or other protein. No byproducts here. There are additional vitamins added too. My dog was so excited! He know that it was for him. He was jumping and crying and just knew that was not for us.
It was very easy to mix. Just use the water heated as directed and you can add a little more if you prefer for it to be more of a wet mix. It may not look appetizing, but It smells like real food and not "dog food". You can even see the pieces of apples in it and the chunks of other fruits and veggies.
I added a bit more liquid to his mix below to mix it thoroughly with his kibble.

I mixed it in after spooning a little in his dish. I figured I would try a little at first to make sure everything would be ok for his tummy. I thought it would be since it is all real & natural ingredients. Of course he did fine and actually he was spitting out his kibble as the Honest Kitchen dehydrated food came off. LOL How funny!

If you have been having problems with your pet like frequent ear infections, urinary tract infections, itchy spots or hot spots.. vomiting or stomach problems it could be the food and you may need to think about changing his/her food.

Over all I love the fact that you can make as much as you need to and for us this is a great treat to give Digger a couple times a week. They have several different types of cat and dog foods from grain free to with grains and bases where you can add your own protein/meat to the mix. Gluten free, low carb and food for sensitive eaters too. They also have treats and supplements too.
Please go to The Honest Kitchen and read more.
There is also a rewards program where you can earn free treats and other products for your pet too. That is a great touch and rewarding too (pun intended).
If this is something you thing your pet would love and would like to try a sample you can email them at samples@thehonestkitchen.com and request a sample for your pet. I am sure he/she will love you more for it!

February Birchbox 2013

Included in this month's box was:

VASANTI: Brighten up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator 20g
It as microderm crystals and papaya enzymes to brighten the skin. I like the sand-like texture for exfoliating my face. The papaya is used in wound care ointments for debridement, so I can see how this would assist in brightening by the papaya.

Jouer: Matte Moisture tint
1st this is the tiniest sample given. I was initially put off by the tiny sample, but later realized that a little does go a long way for this product. For me personally it is definitely mattifying and the "tint" is quite pigmented and gives a bronzed look. It does not cover anything, but it is great at giving you a healthy tan look to your skin. If you just need a little color and have oily skin this is perfect!

Lancome: Hypnose Drama Mascara
This is a very black mascara and the wand is quite interesting and gives a pretty decent coverage and I am pretty sure the shape of the wand is a great help to that.

twistband: Thick Headband
We have recieved these in the smaller version for pony tail holders. This is actually a convinient thing for me. I am intending to use it to keep my hair from falling out of my pony tail when my hair is up at the gym. I hate when the little hairs fall out and get in the way during my work out. This is going to hopefully stay in place and keep those little stragglers from getting in my face.

Extra this month is from Ghiradelli, it was a caramel filled chocolate single. I am saving it for my son who loves this type of thing. I should share after all. It is only fair.

Overall I liked the products in the box, I just wish the Jouer was a larger sample and my Vasanti was filled to the top, cause mine was half full.

L'Oréal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream

L'Oréal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
"This product gives the sheer coverage needed to create a natural bare skin finish, while delivering built-in skincare benefits. With four beautifying actions, this all-in-one innovation primes and smoothes, perfects to hide flaws, hydrates all-day, and corrects and evens skin. The product is infused with skincare ingredients like Panthenol, Vitamin E and Glycerin for 24-hour moisturization."

This L'Oreal BB Cream was great at blurring the flaws and evening out my skin tone. I however do need a full coverage foundation for my everyday wear. I have many Hyper pigmentation areas and needs a lot more help with covering it. I used the BB Cream as a primer for under my makeup and I felt that it gave my face a wonderful foundation for my makeup. I did not feel the need to use concealer routinely while using the L'Oreal Magic BB Cream.

It has a white consistence when applied and has micro beads in it which dissolves and changes colors to match your skin.

This retails for about $9-$12 at my local drug store and big retail stores like Target.
For more information about it check out the L'Oreal site HERE.
I received this from Shespeaks.com to review and give my honest opinion.

Morning Star review

I was so lucky to be able to get in on the BzzAgent Morning Star campaign. I got the Chik Patties,  Grillers Prime Veggie Burger, Asian Veggie Patties and Regular Grillers.
I love the taste of these products.
The Chik Patties are almost exactly like a regular chicken patty. The crunchy top coat and the "meaty" inside is delicious (textured vegetable protein). 140 calories.I like to cut them in slices after cooking for my kids and they love them too. They cannot tell the difference. My sister-in-law attempted to give her boys the Veggie Burgers, but when they heard they were Veggie Burgers they said NO WAY! so she told them how about "Chicken" Patties. Of course they agreed and guess what?! They LOVED them LOL. She still to this day refuses to tell them they were not chicken. My kids love them no matter. They accept it just because it tastes great!

The Asian Veggie Patties were great too! I was a little shocked when the taste had a little kick to them. I was not expecting that at all. You can see and taste all the veggies in them. I loved that! There are Water chestnuts, celery, onion, bamboo shoots, and more! 100 calories. These are all Kosher too.

Check out the Morning Star web page HERE for some unexpected recipes. These are a must try.
TRY THIS!
You can also take these Asian Veggie Patties and chop them up and add them to your stir-fry too. They already have amazingly good veggies in them and to add them to some cabbage, onion, carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, snow peas and french beans too. stir-fry them together with a little Oyster sauce and fish sauce just divine! You can eat it with or without rice depending on if you want to reduce and have a little less carbs. Either way it is delicious!

chop the broccoli & cabbage in to large chunks
slice the bell peppers
cut onions in slim slices
cut the patties into slices
Heat the patties thru with a touch of canola oil in the pan

Add the onions and cook thru and add the rest of the veggies and a teaspoon of chopped garlic
Add oyster sauce and fish sauce to taste
DONE and YUM!
